The sterilization and depyrogenation tunnel is intended to use hot air at temperatures between 300 and 350 degrees Celsius to sterilize and depyrogenize glass vials, guaranteeing a decrease in endotoxin counts of more than three logs. The link conveyor will move the vials via the hot, cooling, and drying zones from the infeed to the filling area. Using a drying zone, water droplets are removed from the vials, and a hot zone sterilizes them at 300 to 350 degrees Celsius. A hot air flow that is vertically laminar promotes optimal and reliable heat transfer and provides validated sterilization process reproducibility.
